Saint Paul, the Prophet
He was born in Tarsos the capital of Kilikia . He was one
of the Roman subjects . His parents are Jewish from Sabat
(Benjamin) in the early years of the Christ . His name in
the Hebrew is Sha’oul which is the name of the first king
of Israel . His father was one of the Pharisees who were a
strict group sticking to the doctrine and tradition . His
father sent him to Jerusalem to learn the principles of
that doctrine on the hand of Jamli’il . Therefore , he
grew up a Pharisee enthusiastic to the doctrine fighting
anyone who violates it . He became one of the greatest
oppressors of the Christ’s disciples . He was one of those
who encourage the killing of Istiphanous - the first of
the martyrs.
