The
Girdle of the Blessed Virgin Church :
It is centre of the syrian orthodox archbishopric . It is
one of the eldest churches of the worldsince it was built
in 59 AD . It was a kind of small vault underground
because prayers were practised in secret for three
centuries . This is because of the fear from the pagan
Romans . It was still built in 478 AD and was expanded in
the Christian era and in 1852 AD it was repaired . Then
the girdle of the Blessed Lady was discovered . . .
