It
is one of the most ancient churches and it is orthodox .
It is to the north of Izra’ . It was built in 515 from
basalt stones ; this dated by the writing which is on the
long stone above the entrance . It was erected in the
place of a pagan temple . It was built after the Cathedral
of Bosraby two years and it was sample of the cathedral .
It is one of the most ancient churches , that is to say ,
a square building above which there is
a dome centred on an intrinsic octagon . It was decorated
with Greek inscriptions and decorated cornice with grape's clusters and grape's
leaves. It is the only church in which the transitional stage appears between
the royal rectangular style of churches and the square style above which there
is a stone dome built on a rectangular base . The church looks from the out
rectangular because it was expanded from the square to build the curve and the
two side stones - the entrance of one of which is from the curve and the other
is from the out . . .
